Did Santa bring you what you wanted for Christmas?

I was hoping Santa would bring me my forever family for Christmas, it was at the top of my wish list!  Christmas was fun with my foster family - they serve excellent food and treats until all hours of the night.  We all got presents from Santa and kisses from children and grown-ups.  Santa was so impressed with me!  I've learned how to sit, I get to sleep in the bedroom with the other dogs, I take walks with the dogs and Dad, I have no accidents in the house and I know how to lay quietly and just snuggle

.  (Mom is really happy about that!)  Everyone commented on how fun it is to play with me - even some of the grumpy old people (note to self - don't jump on laps until you are invited).

Welcome to Jenny's blog - the place for us to share all the information, fun, training tips, sleeping routines, pretty much every little thing about Jenny!  Jenny is an English Setter foster who joined our pack in November, just before Thanksgiving.  Here's her story in her words:

Hi there, my name is Jenny. They tell me I'€™m about a year old and that I was born in Kentucky? My foster parents tell me I am a Llewellin English Setter. I don'€™t know how I got here but things are working out for me now. When I got here I was very skinny and a little wild but I heard my foster parents say they are going to fatten me up and teach me some manners. I don'€™t know about the manners thing but I do like to eat. I love to run in our fenced back yard and patrol my territory. I think a fenced yard would be best for me because I get excited when I am outside and may forget where I live. I love other dogs and would love to have some other dogs to play with. My family has dogs but they are older fuddy duddies and don'€™t like to play with me so much. Even if you don'€™t have another dog, you could play with me and that would be just fine. They send me to doggie day care sometimes so I can get the play I need and learn how to socialize with other dogs. I am kinda cute if I do say so myself and I really want to please my owners so I promise to learn quickly (especially if there are treats, yum). I still like to chew things so if you have some chew toys that will help keep me out of trouble. I hope it'€™s not too much to ask, but I still like to chew. Thanks for reading my letter. I hope that you are the right family for me. Maybe we can spend the holidays together. With Love Jenny

Are you interested in adopting me into your home?  Please see adoption info at www.oesr.org

P.S. I am housebroken, good with other dogs and children, up to date on routine shots and spayed.  Did I mention how smart I am?
